This irresistible and swinging dance band will launch the year-long 100th anniversary celebrations of the Eden Mills Community Hall and 175th anniversary of Eden Mills. Playing high energy swing jazz, jump blues and dance-hall standards and styles from the 1920s to the 50s, Eclectic Vinyl Orchestra’s music reaches audiences in a way that gets people dancing, singing along, and calling for more. The quartet from Guelph features true three-part vocal harmony all decked out in fancy shoes and crisp button downs. A few among the many artists the band covers are the Andrews Sisters, Billy Holiday, Chet Baker, Chuck Berry, Drifters, Elvis Presley and the Everly Brothers
The Eclectic Vinyl Orchestra performance in Eden Mills puts the group into a Hall with great acoustics and a vintage wooden dance floor, the envy of other performance spaces. Now, thanks to a theatre retrofit, the Hall also boasts a professional sound system to bring every nuance to the listener. The Hall retrofit is funded in part by a contribution through the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150). Questions or more info: firstname.lastname@example.org or 905-518-1940
